Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

snowshoe mountain
finds documents containing 'snowshoe' or 'mountain'

snowshoe or mountain
same as above

snowshoe and mountain
finds documents containing both 'snowshoe' and 'mountain'

snowshoe not mountain
finds documents containing 'snowshoe' but not 'mountain'

(snowshoe not mountain) and lake
finds documents containing 'lake', plus 'snowshoe' but not 'mountain'

wild*
finds documents containing words starting with 'wild'; wilderness or wildlife
